Last week Evolve hosted Elizabeth from The Saint John Henry Newman School in Stevenage for a week of work experience.  She had a busy week learning how to use design packages such as Tekla and Revit, how to draw isometrically by hand and all about the different structural materials available.  She visited site and saw some trial pits being dug and attended meetings with our engineers. 

After an intense week, Elizabeth reflected how this had opened the world of Structural Engineering to her as a future career. 

We were very impressed with Elizabeth’s aptitude at understanding the complex Tekla TSD modelling software.

Let’s hope this week sows the structural engineering seed and maybe she will be back to join EVOLVE as a consulting Structural Engineer someday.
